Palazzo Venezia
DIEGO PERCOSSI PAPI E MASATO YOSHIOKA
For the first time, two great artists working in the different fields of painting and jewellery, express their crossed synergy within this unusual exhibition which exalts their convergence.
The fantastical dimension is the point of connection between the works of the two artists.
Just as the jewels from the Atelier Percossi Papi are evocative of fairy-tale worlds featuring a secret fascination and which follow the logic of the Thousand and One Nights, so, the works of the painter Masato Yoshioko are inspired by an enchanted Italian Renaissance, revisited through his being a man of the East.
Being both masters of techniques and of evocative use of colour, with this exhibition, they revisit the Renaissance tradition where jewellers and painters worked side by side using silver leaves and gold dust.
The visitors to this exhibition find themselves moving around a space where all appears large and remote, filled with strange and wonderful things.
This originates a unique artistic experience, worthy of particular note.
